When I was a kid, I always fantasized about being whisked away to an exotic destination. The beaches at Makena State Park in Hawaii are pretty close to that! With golden shorelines and brilliant aqua blue water, this hot spot in Maui is a dreamer’s paradise!
Hi guys, hope all is well! I still have a ton of images from Hawaii to post. So here ya go. 6ish months too late but better now then never! It’s a constant work-in-progress but I plan to very slowly but surely share them with you all. 🙂
Tropical florals and lush greenery background are pretty much ubiquitous in Hawaii. These pictures are fun because they make it appear as if I’m in the jungle. However, they were actually taken only a few steps from the front door of the condo in which I was staying at. This just goes to show that you really don’t have to venture far to get lost in the beauty of nature. ~b
One of the top must-have things to do in Maui is to drive theroad to Hana. This famous winding road leads you to sooo many beautiful places on the island. From waterfalls to bamboo forests, it definitely takes more than a day to explore it all. One of my personal favorite stops was around mile marker 32, Waianapanapa State Park. As you enter the park, the hills and valleys of the jungle open up to jagged borders, dramatic basalt coastlines, and the deep blue sea. The iconic black sand beach situated there was formed thousands of years ago due to the cooling and hardening of the lava flow that was battered relentlessly by the strong waves. I’ll have to admit though, that I was a little scared watching the huge ocean waves form and blast against the rugged cliffs. Though a magnificent sight to see – it was a humbling reminder of how powerful mother nature really is. Below are a few of my favorite pictures of the stunning landscape. 🙂 Till next time! ~b
Ahola guys! So very excited to be finally sharing some photos from my Hawaii trip this past spring! I have so many amazing photos to post but not enough time in the day to edit it all, ha! But no worries, they are slowly coming along and I would really like to put together a “Maui Instagram – Worthy” guide in the near future.
There’s no denying that these colorful surfboards make a striking backdrop – perfect for that insta shot! They were captured in Paia, a little beach town on the northern shore of Maui. Some of the biggest waves can be found here, making it a surfer’s paradise. Aside from that, it’s a pretty laid-back hippie town that attracts people from all over. This vibrant hostel in town was on the road to Hana. When I first saw the eye-catching rainbow fence, I instantly fell in love with the scenery. Composed of neatly lined surfboards, the owner here definitely knew a thing or two about curb appeal. Because I mean – who could resist a fun photo opportunity?! Ha! Well more Hawaii photos to come in the following weeks so be sure to check back! ~b
Happy July! Here are my final photos from my trip to Mexico. Though, a pretty short trip overall. I was lucky enough to be able to fit so many activities in my schedule. Last on my list was to see the iconic Arch of Cabo San Lucas before I left, so that’s exactly what my father and I did! It’s a distinctive rock formation that marks that spot where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez. We went on a yacht boat excursion in the evening to see it and to also watch the sunset. The views at sea were simply breathtaking and I thought it was the perfect way to end the trip! ~b
Hola amigos! I hope you are all doing well! I know this post is long overdue and I apologize. I will be pretty busy for the next few months with my corporate job but I will try my absolute best to have content created for my blog.
Continuing on from my last entry, I wanted to share more beautiful pictures from my trip to Cabo! Going anywhere as colorful and stunning as Mexico, I wanted to make sure I was dressed for the occasion. My travel outfit included a bright orange ruffle tanktop paired with a bold turquoise blue crossbody bag. My style was very much influenced by all the vibrantartwork that I saw throughout the streets of Mexico.
During my stay, I also had the opportunity to go on a private tour of a small village called, Todos Santos. It is a 45 min drive from Cabo and has an entirely different atmosphere. For one, there are fewer tourists and fancy resorts in the area which makes it feel more of a relaxed boho vibe. The village is mainly comprised of decor boutiques and art murals. Tiny restaurants and a small yellow church are found nearby. There is even a hotel there called the “Hotel California,” which is believed to have inspired the Eagles to write their famous hit song. How cool is that, right?! On the tour, we also had time to stop by a blanket shop to see the process of crafting a patterned blanket. It takes a lot of effort and can take weeks to complete one detailed design. Seeing skillful artisans at work made me appreciate the final products even more.
Overall, Todos Santos is filled with a lot of character and charm. Although not nearly as big as Cabo, there were still many things to do and places to explore. Through this experience, I felt more connected to the history, culture, and people of Mexico. Don’t get me wrong, fancy resorts are a dream come true – but taking time to see other parts of Mexico made this trip even more worthwhile!
I attached a mixture of pictures in this post to share with you all. From my resort to the village, incredible artworks to beautiful flowers – I hope y’all enjoy them! ~b
When in Los Cabo, Mexico – camel rides are a must!
Hi guys! In the next few blog posts, I will be sharing one of my favorite trips of ALL TIME. A few years ago, Urban Decay flew me out to Cabo and it was honestly one of the most amazing experiences that I ever had! They booked my flight first class, had me stay in a fancy resort, and I was even chauffeured in a limo at one point. Urban Decay definitely knows how to spoil a girl (hehe..) and I felt extremely pampered the whole time. On the getaway, I was allowed to take one guest so I brought my father. The year prior to this trip, he was actually quite sick and had to be hospitalized for some time. If anyone deserved a break – it was definitely my hardworking dad. I felt extremely grateful to be able to share this once in a lifetime adventure with him. Urban Decay took care of everything and even covered all of our activities in Cabo. One of the things we were really excited about was camel riding in the desert. We ended up taking the Camel Quest Riding Tour at Wild Canyon. There, we were able to ride and interact with these friendly giants. The guides also allowed us to feed and play games with the camels. It was such a fun and memorable experience. I was actually surprised by how playful they were! Below are some of my favorite pictures. 🙂 ~b
