Outfit of the Day: Southwest USA Road Trip

Road tripping around Southwest America is like taking the scenic route to everywhere. The beautiful surrounding area makes it hard not to find a pretty picturesque road stop. I live on the East Coast, so it’s always a marvel to see these vast rock formations and mountains in the desert. I think sometimes living in the city makes me forget how gorgeous the simple things in life are. Everything is so much slower paced here, plus if you are a nature lover – there are a ton of breathtaking state and national parks to choose from! ~b

Outfit of the Day: Los Cabos, Mexico / Todos Santos Adventure

Hola amigos! I hope you are all doing well! I know this post is long overdue and I apologize. I will be pretty busy for the next few months with my corporate job but I will try my absolute best to have content created for my blog.

Continuing on from my last entry, I wanted to share more beautiful pictures from my trip to Cabo! Going anywhere as colorful and stunning as Mexico, I wanted to make sure I was dressed for the occasion. My travel outfit included a bright orange ruffle tanktop paired with a bold turquoise blue crossbody bag. My style was very much influenced by all the vibrant artwork that I saw throughout the streets of Mexico.

During my stay, I also had the opportunity to go on a private tour of a small village called, Todos Santos. It is a 45 min drive from Cabo and has an entirely different atmosphere. For one, there are fewer tourists and fancy resorts in the area which makes it feel more of a relaxed boho vibe. The village is mainly comprised of decor boutiques and art murals. Tiny restaurants and a small yellow church are found nearby. There is even a hotel there called the “Hotel California,” which is believed to have inspired the Eagles to write their famous hit song. How cool is that, right?! On the tour, we also had time to stop by a blanket shop to see the process of crafting a patterned blanket. It takes a lot of effort and can take weeks to complete one detailed design. Seeing skillful artisans at work made me appreciate the final products even more.

Overall, Todos Santos is filled with a lot of character and charm. Although not nearly as big as Cabo, there were still many things to do and places to explore. Through this experience, I felt more connected to the history, culture, and people of Mexico. Don’t get me wrong, fancy resorts are a dream come true – but taking time to see other parts of Mexico made this trip even more worthwhile!

I attached a mixture of pictures in this post to share with you all. From my resort to the village, incredible artworks to beautiful flowers – I hope y’all enjoy them! ~b

When in Los Cabo, Mexico – camel rides are a must!

Hi guys! In the next few blog posts, I will be sharing one of my favorite trips of ALL TIME. A few years ago, Urban Decay flew me out to Cabo and it was honestly one of the most amazing experiences that I ever had! They booked my flight first class, had me stay in a fancy resort, and I was even chauffeured in a limo at one point. Urban Decay definitely knows how to spoil a girl (hehe..) and I felt extremely pampered the whole time. On the getaway, I was allowed to take one guest so I brought my father. The year prior to this trip, he was actually quite sick and had to be hospitalized for some time. If anyone deserved a break – it was definitely my hardworking dad. I felt extremely grateful to be able to share this once in a lifetime adventure with him. Urban Decay took care of everything and even covered all of our activities in Cabo. One of the things we were really excited about was camel riding in the desert. We ended up taking the Camel Quest Riding Tour at Wild Canyon. There, we were able to ride and interact with these friendly giants. The guides also allowed us to feed and play games with the camels. It was such a fun and memorable experience. I was actually surprised by how playful they were! Below are some of my favorite pictures. 🙂 ~b

Outfit of the Day – Bahama’s Cruise Vacay

Happy Memorial’s Day weekend guys! 🙂 Last year, around this time, I was cruising to the Bahamas on a family vacation. It was my very first time boarding a gigantic ship so I was super excited to set sail! Cruise ships are a fun way to travel because there is so much to explore and do! It’s also surprisingly affordable but feels very luxurious and glamorous because everything is taken care of for you. It’s a carefree environment which is always ideal for a tropical gateway. There’s a ton of entertainment on deck, an all you can eat buffet, and of course a few pools to enjoy! Every level of the cruise ship was an escape to another world. One minute you are at a day spa, the next floor you might find yourself at a movie theater. It’s pretty neat! Although, I couldn’t wait to get to the Bahamas – I actually loved being on the ship because there were so much to experience. Overall, the trip was a blast and I am already dreaming of my next voyage to sea! ~b

Outfit of the Day – Antelope Island

Zip Up – Victoria’s Secret / Top – Nike / Leggings – Aerie / Shoes – Brooks

The last main stop on my adventure out West was Antelope Island. It’s an idyllic island with close proximity to Salt Lake City (about an hour drive). To be honest, I was pretty tired at this point of my trip and a little bit cranky. I really wished this wasn’t the case but sometimes when you are constantly traveling, you yearn for your good old bed!

However looking back now, I am so glad we drove out there. The wildlife at Antelope Island is fantastic. It’s home to free-ranging bison, antelopes, bighorn sheep, and many various species of birds. You can admire the animals from afar as they roam freely in this prairie-like habitat. The area is surrounded by golden meadows of grasslands, large mountains jutting into the sky, and a scenic salt lake. We were lucky enough to experience good weather that day and have beautiful blue skies over us. This only added to the natural beauty of the landscape. If you are ever looking for a day trip to escape from the city commotion, then this is it. Peaceful and tranquil, you can easily immerse yourself in all things nature on  Antelope Island. ~b

Outfit of the Day – Horseshoe Bend + A Personal Reflection

BeInspireful - Horseshoe Bend 1

For the longest time, I had this mindset that the final destination was always the best stop. Not just in terms of travel but in my everyday life as well. I guess I have this natural tendency to want to arrive from point A to point B in the most efficient timely manner. That’s the Type-A personality trait side of me coming through. Although following a  straightforward path in life is ideal, it’s really just not realistic. I am learning more each and every day that curveballs/setbacks are inevitable. To truly appreciate any final destination, you have to embrace the journey of getting there as well.

In fact, some of my favorite pictures in this post were not captured at Horseshoe Bend at all. Instead, they were taken on a random dirt road off of the main highway. The stop was unplanned and spontaneous, thanks to my lovely boyfriend who has a keen eye for photography. Among a sea of red rocks, there were these vibrant blue and white hills lingering in the distant. I was instantly drawn to the pops of colors and loved seeing the variations in the landscape. This location was also isolated which made it even more enjoyable.

After spending some time there, we continued our journey to our final destination, Horseshoe Bend. This is a mega tourist attraction in the area. It is a magnificent example of the natural beauty of Mother Nature and overall, an amazing sight to see. However, I am also thankful that I was able to experience the less traveled to stops along the way. 🙂 ~b

Remember when I told you guys I was visiting Utah in March? Welp, I’m finally posting some of the pictures even though I know they are long overdue (hehe). In short, Utah is beautiful. The Wild West is filled with sweeping canyon views, vibrant red rock formations, and stunning national parks. Not to mention the people are extremely kind and hospitable here…at least the ones I met during my trip. 🙂 Below are some photos taken near Monument Valley. It’s on the border of Utah and Arizona. There’s an iconic straight road there that is known as the Forrest Gump Point because it was featured in the famous film. It’s the exact location where Forrest decided to end his journey running across America. Even if you are not a huge fan of the movie, this spot is super picturesque and great for photography. I posted a few of my favorite photos to share with you guys! ~b

Bonjour!!! Sharing my final pics from my mini France travel series with one of my absolute favorite cities – Paris! It’s one of those places that I love to visit over and over again. There are so many things that come to mind when I think of Paris…. picnics by the Effiel Tower, casual strolls through the immaculate gardens,  sightseeing at all the top attractions…The list can go on and on but I’ll truly never forget my first time seeing the iconic Effiel Tower. I remembered turning a corner and suddenly having a “pinch me” kind of moment when I first laid eyes on the majestic structure. It’s grandiose and timeless, I couldn’t stop marveling at it! The historical monument is one of the most famous landmarks in the world and a symbol of Paris. If you have the time, you can also climb the tower to get a beautiful view of the city… I posted a pic down below. It’s an amazing experience that you have to do at least once in your life! The City of Lights is awe-inspiring, romantic, and simply magical. I am honestly sooo entranced by the lovely atmosphere of Paris so I can’t wait to come back soon! ~b 🙂

South of France – Staying in a French Villa

BeInspireful - South of France Outfit 1
Top, Sandals, Sunglasses – Walmart / Shorts – American Eagle / Purse – Modcloth

I’ve been lucky enough to visit the beautiful country of France twice in my life. Once was on a school trip with a handful of honor students from my university. I had the opportunity stay in a French villa in the charming village of Valence Sur Baise. We stayed in a stylish historic maison with five bedrooms and five bathrooms. The home came equipped with a grand library, chef kitchen, entertainment center, courtyard pool, etc. It was elegantly decorated as well, with a ton of collectibles and antiques. I literally felt like I was living in a museum so I was pretty much petrified of touching/breaking everything (ha!). My bedroom had a magnificent  view of the rolling countryside fields which made mornings that much better. The room was also filled with classic furnishings and had an on-suite bathroom. All these posh amenities and fancy features made my stay feel like a luxury retreat!

While in the South of France, I  had the chance to visit the nearby villages, art museums, and also the city of Toulouse! My favorite memory from my trip, however, was attending the village community feast. It’s a traditional gathering that takes place once a week in the summer. Tents are set up with live bands and scrumptious meals. The carefree atmosphere is fun and upbeat. I loved watching the locals get tipsy and dancing the night away! It was an incredible experience to have everyone come together to simply celebrate life. Overall, my sunny escape to the South of France was an idyllic vacation. The memories and adventure that I made that summer are ones I’ll always appreciate and remember. 🙂 ~b

Life Update: Upcoming Travel Plans (Utah + Hawaii)

BeInspireful - Travel Plans

Hi guys! I’m excited to share my travel plans for the next two months! I feel extremely privileged to be able to travel as much I have in my early 20’s. I know there are so many people that rarely ever have the opportunity to go on a vacation. So with that being said, I feel immensely blessed.

Sooo where exactly am I going? Well, spring is great time to travel because it’s not the height of tourism season, making flight tickets more affordable. In March, I will be flying out to Salt Lake City, Utah and in April, I will be adventuring to Maui, Hawaii!! Fun fact: my flight ticket to Maui was  $425 round-trip + Salt Lake City was $263 round-trip. This is an amazing deal considering  I live on the East Coast. Both getaways are going to be about a week long so I have been planning and watching travel guides like crazy! I am most excited for Booneville Salt Flats + Haleakala Sunrise.

Other possible travel plans in the future include Texas in the summer, Alaska in the fall, and maybe an international trip! Key word: maybe...I’m kind of pushing it, but a girl can dream! I absolutely love traveling so I can’t wait! 🙂  ~b
