City Studio Apartment Tour (324 Sq. Ft. – $655 Rent)

Hi Guys! Welcome to my home! I am so excited to show you guys around 🙂 . This blog post is a peek into my 324 sq. ft. uptown studio. As I have mentioned before, I recently moved from Ohio to the South a few months back.  It’s been a whirlwind of adventures and I couldn’t have been happier with my decision for a life change. And lucky for me, I was very fortunate to get this affordable rental in the city center. Living in the city can get quite costly and the average apartment around here is over a grand (yikes!).

My studio is incredibly small but I absolutely love my little home – it actually feels more like an upscale dorm room to be honest. My place came equipped with a ton of built-in storage, a mini kitchen, 20 foot ceiling, and even a walk in closet! With these additions to help organize my space, I often forget how small my unit is. It also took me a while to get my place fully decorated to my satisfaction but I am happy with the turn out. Being a natural homebody, I especially wanted to create a cozy oasis space that I could be comfortable in 24/7. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy the tour of my home and get some decor inspiration for yours! Until next time! ~b

College Studio Apartment Tour

This was my studio apartment during my junior and senior year of college. I was 20 years old at the time and living on my own was a huge milestone moment in my life. I remember vividly walking into the space for the first time and just feeling so incredibly happy.  🙂

The apartment was considered a college complex so everyone that lived there was a student. The location was very convenient and situated right on campus. I had easy access to the bus loop and ample of amenities (pool, clubhouse, movie theater, fitness center, etc. ) I was beyond lucky to be living there because it was one of the nicer apartments around the school area. All the furniture pieces were included (bed, couch, desk, etc. ) making it move-in ready! However, I still brought my brother’s old nightstand so I would have space for a lamp beside my bed. I also had a rather nice view because my room was on the third floor, which was the highest level. In terms of decorating, I went with a black, white, and gold color scheme. The black metal furniture pieces set the foundation to my space so I worked around that. I added personal artwork throughout and everything I bought was super affordable. I am very grateful to have lived there during my time at university.  It was the perfect place to call home and take naps between classes (ha!). Anyways, I hope you guys get some décor inspiration from my pictures and video!

College Dorm Room Tour

Hi guys! Very long time and no update (sorry) . But ya know, life happens! I have been very busy with work and I also went on a family vacation to the Bahamas recently. Plus, staying consistent with blogging is probably one of the hardest part. That, and content curation.

Anyways, continuing with the home décor series! This blog post is about my college dorm. I lived in a dorm room for the first two years of university. The featured video is my sophomore dorm.  I had a single unit but I also had 4 other roommates within the dorm suite. We all shared one bathroom which, in my opinion, is better than sharing with the whole floor. I chose to have a single room because I love to have a space all to myself. I also had a very messy roommate my freshman year so I didn’t want to go through that experience again!

My college room was incredibly tiny but I LOVED it!  My décor was very bohemian inspired. My walls were plastered with my favorite memories (photos everywhere!) and I hung up a big old map to remind me of all the places I wanted to see one day. I also included a colorful elephant painting that I made because I love art and wanted to showcase it. In general , I lived in a very basic dorm with its bulky bunk bed and standardized storage. However, I still felt like I made it into a space that was unique and fitting to my style at that stage of my life.

Hope you guys enjoy the video!

Bedroom Room Tour

Hi guys! In the next few blog posts, I will be sharing some home decor inspiration. I am starting this series in the order in which I lived in these places.

So first off is my old bedroom at my parent’s house (this was filmed about four years ago). At this time I was still in the early stages of my college career and developing my sense of style. Looking back now, the super girly color scheme is borderline cringe-worthy (ha!). However, I am still crazy about my old headboard display. I loved how it lit up at night and made the room feel extra cozy.  It was also very easy to make. All you need is a city silhouette decal, white string lights, and mini command hooks. Together the stringed lights spell out  the word, ” Dream.”  For me, this simple word went along with the saying, “Small town girl, big city dreams,” which depicted my background and where I aspired to be one day. Now that I do live in a city – I am still dazzled by the city lights and the feeling of limitless potential that they evoke. When you stand in front of a skyscraper you can’t help but feel like an ant staring at something grand. Anyways, hope you guys get some bedroom decor ideas from the video! Talk to ya soon!
