Happy Cyber Monday everyone! Today marks a rare occasion where a Monday isn’t so dreadful – ha! I hope you all had a lovely holiday break with loved ones this weekend. I actually went back to my hometown for a few days. My boyfriend came along to meet my parents as well 🙂 . I’m almost certain that we both gained a solid 5 lbs with all the food my mum fed us with, but it was worth it because home cooked meals are simply the best!
Before we ventured back to Ohio to eat our hearts out, we did a spontaneous photo shoot (my brother helped too!). Living in the South means fall comes a little bit later so we were still able to capture these beautiful vibrantyellow leaves. The fall foliage was the perfect backdrop because it really made my blue demin jacket popped. Overall, this is one of my favorite fall outfit and therefore my go-to. It is seriously so easy to throw on and makes you look like you kind-ofhave your life together. Keyword: kind of. In all seriousness though, you can never go wrong with a pair of basic black leggings, causal demin jacket, plain white sweater, and comfy ankle booties. Layering it with a classical plaid scarf helps pull the ensemble together. My go-to fall outfit is down-to-earth and comfortable making it ideal for any cozy fall day. ~b
Hi guys! Here’s a collection of throwback outfit ideas from last fall. I hope this fashion collage spark some outfit ideas. I created a lot of wearable combinations – ranging from bright pops of color to warm cozy neutrals, plaid prints to stripe patterns, dressy dates to comfy chill. I think there’s a look for a variety of occasions. Most of the clothing items are pretty basic too which makes it easy to recreate from your own wardrobe. I also have to admit that I was kind of hesitant to make this post because the old fashion video I made is a little cringy. However, these days I am improving with my sense of style and editing skills so better content is coming! 🙂 Anywho, hope y’all enjoyed my flash from the past looks and have a fabulous Friday! ~b
In recent months I went to a beautiful Chinese Lantern Festival that took place at a botanical garden near my city. The intricate and elaborate lanterns were beautifully crafted from China. The exhibit theme was “The Wild” which featured animals such as elephants, jellyfishes, pandas, etc. In daylight they were fun to look at but at night they were absolutely exquisite. The lanterns illuminated a vibrant energy and gave new life to these wondrous sculptures. I was captivated by all the swirling colors and the magical glow of these lights. The pictures below do not do it justice! As for my outfit, I am wearing a light green sage tank top from H&M. This is actually one of my favorite tops at the moment. I love the color and girly frill ruffles! My accessories and jeans are all neutral-toned. I always find that this helps balance an outfit out. That’s it for this post, hope you guys have a wonderful Wednesday! ~b
“Uptown girl, she’s been living in her uptown world”….
I’d be lying if I said I never hummed to the tune of Billy Joel when i’m out and about in the city. It’s been my home for the past few months so it naturally became my theme song. The city center park is the perfect go-to spot to people watch. You can find a variety of people here, from casual strollers to spiffy business people. My outfit of the day consist of a traditional pin striped button-up top that is norm for the office. However, I wore a pair of shorts to make the formal top more casual. I also opted for comfy footwear with my strappy gladiator sandals. My classy Tory Burch Mini Robinson satchel refines the look and pulls the outfit together. Sometimes less is more and I love this minimalist sophisticated style. I hope you get inspiration from this outfit and i’ll talk to ya guys next time! ~b
Hi guys! Long time, no post (sorry, sorry). I just got back from a mini trip with my boyfriend and brother. We traveled out west to Portland, Seattle, and Colorado for a few days. It was a lot of fun but very tiresome as well. I did finish my YouTube video that I was planning on making before I left though (check it out on my channel – What’s In My Bag).
Anyways, here’s an outfit that I put together for a romantic dinner date with my boyfriend. We went to a restaurant in uptown with a breathtaking view of the city skyline. We had a lovely time watching the sun set and I got semi-dressed up for the occasion. The lace blue high neck/halter top is from the Lauren Conrad lines at Kohl’s. I think it’s perfect for a classy night out because it’s conservative and elegant. I wore a pair of white skinny jeans with my Givenchy Antigona mini cross-body bag to finish off the look. Hope y’all like this outfit inspo. for future date-nights! ~b
If you are following my insta feed and blog then it should come to no surprise now that I have a very feminine/girly sense of style. I love chiffon, satin, and lace – all in pastel shades of course! Blush pink is probably one of my favorite shades to wear year round. It’s a soft color that transitions well with the ever changing season. In this outfit I paired my blush off-the-shoulder top with plain white jeans, a matching light pink satchel, and a pair of neutral sandals. It’s a very basic but super easy look to recreate. A lot of times , keeping it simple is the best way to go! Anywho – that’s all for this look.
Also sorry for the lack of posts lately. I had to prep for an interview last week and haven’t made time to edit new content. I do have a video planned for YouTube though , but i’m not sure how to approach it just yet. Stay tuned and I’ll keep y’all updated! As always thanks for reading my blog, I really appreciate it. 🙂 ~b
Spending some time outdoors is essential for a perfect day in the summer for me. I love the warmer climate and dressing for it (one of the many reasons why I moved to the South). As you already know, I am a big fan of dresses but skirts are also up there as well. With so many variations in prints and styles – I own a handful of them. This A-line floral skirt is one of my favorite for the summer! It buttons up in the front and has pockets, so it’s cute and functional. I paired it with a plain yellow top so there wouldn’t be a clash in patterns. I think this girly outfit would be great for the first day of school! It’s not super dressy and it will keep you cool throughout the day. Anyhow, I hope this post helps spark some outfit ideas! ~b
