Happy July! Here are my final photos from my trip to Mexico. Though, a pretty short trip overall. I was lucky enough to be able to fit so many activities in my schedule. Last on my list was to see the iconic Arch of Cabo San Lucas before I left, so that’s exactly what my father and I did! It’s a distinctive rock formation that marks that spot where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez. We went on a yacht boat excursion in the evening to see it and to also watch the sunset. The views at sea were simply breathtaking and I thought it was the perfect way to end the trip! ~b

Outfit of the Day – Mother’s Day Inspired Look

Denim Jacket – H&M / Top – Mom’s Closet / Jeans – American Eagle / Booties – Steve Madden / Purse – Kate Spade

Happy Monday! Can you believe this weekend is Mother’s Day? To celebrate on the blog, I borrowed a beloved top from my mom’s closet. It belonged to her in the 90’s and I absolutely love it. It’s pretty basic and simple but extremely versatile. I previously styled it with a blazer here. However, for this post, I wanted to dress it down so I paired it with a denim jacket. I added ankle leather booties and black skinny jeans to create a very casual cool look.

Also, how cute is this picture of my mom and me? 🙂 It’s personally one of my favorites! Now that I have shorter hair, I think you can really see the similarities between us. My mother and I are pretty close but she lives many states away so I’ll be sure to skype date with her this Sunday! I hope many of you are also able to spend some quality time with your mother this weekend as well. Anyways, I’ll talk to you all very soon. 🙂 ~b

Outfit of the Day – Sullivan’s Island

Happy Monday guys! I recently did some updates on my blog over the weekend. Hopefully, you were able to spot some of the differences! I upgraded from my free plan so now I have much more control over everything (yay!).

As for today’s post – just a quick easy look for a day at the beach! Sullivan’s Island is one of the popular beaches in Charleston. Unlike other touristy attractions around the area, I have always found this place to be extremely peaceful. The wide stretch of flat sand makes it ideal for long walks and it’s also the perfect location to watch the sunset. For my outfit, I wore a basic black tank with a pair of denim shorts. My oversized striped tote bag is fitting for hauling around all my beach necessity – like a good book, towel, and sunscreen. Overall, my look is beyond casual but that’s what makes it great for the beach! ~b

With Mother’s Day coming up in a few short weeks, I wanted to post a look inspired by my beautiful mother! My mom has always been and remains a strong role model in my life. I know I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for all of her support! Honestly, she’s the absolute best. 🙂

Below are just a few of my favorite throwback pics. of her. I love how these images showcase her effortless classical style. She was never the one to wear extravagant flashy outfits to stand apart in a crowd and that’s what I love about her clothing choices. My mother’s understated elegance was always fashionable all on its own.

For my inspired styled outfit, I wanted to keep it simple and sophisticatedjust like my mom. I opted for a timeless black blazer, which I believe is a must-have staple in every girl’s wardrobe. It’s super versatile and instantly pulls a look together. The red, white, and blue striped top was borrowed from my mom’s closet. I think it has a retro classic 90’s vibe to it. I paired the shirt with white neutral jeans to keep it crisp and clean. & To fully finish off the whole look,  a quick swipe of red lipstick always adds a pinch of chic to any outfit! ~b

Outfit of the Day – Savannah, Georgia

Hi! Earlier this week, I mentioned that I visited Savannah, Georgia for my birthday weekend. I’m old-school at heart, so it’s no surprise that I instantly fell in love with the city’s character and charm. I had a great time exploring the historic districts and taking a stroll through the various squares. The flourishing florals,  Spanish-moss draped trees, and classical architecture made Savannah’s scenery picture-perfect. I felt like I was taking a step back in time!

When I was completely worn out from all the walking, I ventured to beautiful Forsyth Park to relax and enjoy the outdoors. It’s easily the best place to have a picnic or people watch! After some time, the sun started to set and it was time for dinner. Although there were so many amazing options to choose from, I decided to eat at the Flying Monk Noodle Bar because of its’ great reviews. I am so glad that I did because the meal did not disappoint! It was sooo good and I highly recommend eating there if you are ever in the area! For dessert, I went to the popular Leopold’s Ice Cream shop. It’s definitely the best ice cream on the block and a must-do in Savannah! The store’s queue line is usually extremely long, but it is very well worth the wait. I swear there’s something magical in the ice cream that makes you come back for more! I was there twice during my visit. 🙂 My favorite flavors were lemon custard and honey almond cream. Mmmm..yum! Anywho, that’s all for this post. Hope you all have a great rest of your week and talk to ya soon! ~b
