Hue, Vietnam was the capital of the Vietnamese empire during the Nguyen Dynasty. Today the city still honors its rich past by preserving the beautiful ancient architecture. One of my favorite tourist attractions located in Hue was the vibrant ‘Imperial City‘. This exquisite site is home to numerous temples, monuments, and tombs. Walking into the sprawling grounds you can just feel the royal history of the palace. Even if you are not a history fanatic, there’s just something so astonishing about the ornate colorful architecture. The intricate detailing was something I found so striking because it was so meticulously crafted. From the well-kept gardens to the lavish historic buildings, this is an absolutely amazing place to spend an afternoon stroll! ~b
P.S. This is a throwback post…these pictures were taken about 3 years ago!
Happy July! Here are my final photos from my trip to Mexico. Though, a pretty short trip overall. I was lucky enough to be able to fit so many activities in my schedule. Last on my list was to see the iconic Arch of Cabo San Lucas before I left, so that’s exactly what my father and I did! It’s a distinctive rock formation that marks that spot where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez. We went on a yacht boat excursion in the evening to see it and to also watch the sunset. The views at sea were simply breathtaking and I thought it was the perfect way to end the trip! ~b
Happy Monday! Can you believe this weekend is Mother’s Day? To celebrate on the blog, I borrowed a beloved top from my mom’s closet. It belonged to her in the 90’s and I absolutely love it. It’s pretty basic and simple but extremely versatile. I previously styled it with a blazer here. However, for this post, I wanted to dress it down so I paired it with a denim jacket. I added ankle leather booties and black skinny jeans to create a very casual cool look.
Also, how cute is this picture of my mom and me? 🙂 It’s personally one of my favorites! Now that I have shorter hair, I think you can really see the similarities between us. My mother and I are pretty close but she lives many states away so I’ll be sure to skype date with her this Sunday! I hope many of you are also able to spend some quality time with your mother this weekend as well. Anyways, I’ll talk to you all very soon. 🙂 ~b
Happy Monday guys! I recently did some updates on my blog over the weekend. Hopefully, you were able to spot some of the differences! I upgraded from my free plan so now I have much more control over everything (yay!).
As for today’s post – just a quick easy look for a day at the beach! Sullivan’s Island is one of the popular beaches in Charleston. Unlike other touristy attractions around the area, I have always found this place to be extremely peaceful. The wide stretch of flat sand makes it ideal for long walks and it’s also the perfect location to watch the sunset. For my outfit, I wore a basic black tank with a pair of denim shorts. My oversized striped tote bag is fitting for hauling around all my beach necessity – like a good book, towel, and sunscreen. Overall, my look is beyond casual but that’s what makes it great for the beach! ~b
With Mother’s Day coming up in a few short weeks, I wanted to post a look inspired by my beautiful mother! My mom has always been and remains a strong role model in my life. I know I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for all of her support! Honestly, she’s the absolute best. 🙂
Below are just a few of my favorite throwback pics. of her. I love how these images showcase her effortless classical style. She was never the one to wear extravagant flashy outfits to stand apart in a crowd and that’s what I love about her clothing choices. My mother’s understated elegance was always fashionableall on its own.
For my inspired styled outfit, I wanted to keep it simple and sophisticated – just like my mom. I opted for a timeless black blazer, which I believe is a must-have staple in every girl’s wardrobe. It’s super versatile and instantly pulls a look together. The red, white, and blue striped top was borrowed from my mom’s closet. I think it has a retro classic 90’s vibe to it. I paired the shirt with white neutral jeans to keep it crisp and clean. & To fully finish off the whole look, a quick swipe of red lipstick always adds a pinch of chic to any outfit! ~b
Happy Monday guys 🙂 It’s been a minute since I last posted an outfit of the day! A lot of exciting things are happening in my own personal life so I have been putting more of my focus on that. Plus, I am going to Hawaii very soon! My vacation is now extended for about two weeks in the tropics … so – yeah, it’s safe to say, I’m a very very lucky gal!
Anywho, here’s an outfit that I wore during my birthday weekend a long time back. I was visiting Savannah for the weekend to celebrate with my loved ones. It was my very first time there and the weather was glorious. I am born during the last week of February so this is not a common occurrence for me. I am used to snow and frigid cold weather because I lived up North for the majority of my life. Nevertheless, it was sunny and warm outside – the perfect weather combo for a flowy effortless dress. This blue floral dress, in particular, had a high collar mesh detailing that I absolutely adore. In addition, it had hidden pockets! All these neat little features are such a refreshing twist to a classic fit and flare. I wished it came in more prints and colors!
Also, I wanted to note that visiting Wormsloe Historic Site was one of the highlights of my trip. It is one of Savannah’s can’t-miss attractions and soo much prettier in person than in photos! Upon arrival, you are greeted by a breathtaking avenue sheltered by live oak trees and a canopy of Spanish moss. I believe there about 400 trees planted there to create this scenic driveway and it stretches on for about 1.5 miles to the estate. If you have time, you can also pay the ten dollar fee to explore the property and get a glimpse into Savannah’s past. ~b
Bonjour!!!Sharing my final pics from my mini France travel series with one of my absolute favorite cities – Paris! It’s one of those places that I love to visit over and over again. There are so many things that come to mind when I think of Paris…. picnics by the Effiel Tower, casual strolls through the immaculate gardens, sightseeing at all the top attractions…The list can go on and on but I’ll truly never forget my first time seeing the iconic Effiel Tower. I remembered turning a corner and suddenly having a “pinch me” kind of moment when I first laid eyes on the majestic structure. It’s grandiose and timeless, I couldn’t stop marveling at it! The historical monument is one of the most famous landmarks in the world and a symbol of Paris. If you have the time, you can also climb the tower to get a beautiful view of the city… I posted a pic down below. It’s an amazing experience that you have to do at least once in your life! The City of Lights is awe-inspiring, romantic, and simply magical. I am honestly sooo entranced by the lovely atmosphere of Paris so I can’t wait to come back soon! ~b 🙂
