I think it’s safe to say that I absolutely love love decorating. Adding new elements to my space always brings me great joy. It’s a constant passion project transforming my apartment into a home. Here are my latest finds….
Crosley X Urban Outfitters Record Player
Bohemian and classic, this vintage-inspired record player is my favorite addition to my home! I think the intricate mandala design is absolutely stunning!
Foldable Storage Bins
My new favorite way to organize! These neutral-toned foldable bins from Amazon are well made and quite sturdy. I packed mine with bed sheets and towels!
Elephant Ring Holder
Fact: Elephants are my favorite animals. I picked up this cute little guy for my night stand. Rose gold and polished – it added an extra dash of chic to my home.
Ikea Plastic Containers
Don’t let these inexpensive plastic containers fool ya! They are super durable and come in a variety of different sizes. Simple in design, they helped revamped my disorganized shelves into a clutter-free zone.
Mermaid Tail Blanket
Staying warm this winter can actually be fun? I saw this trending on Pinterest and thought they were simply adorable! Supppppeeer comfortable and cozy, you can binge watch up to 3 more extra hours of Netflix with this on. But is that really a surprise? 😉
Welp, that is all for this mini apartment haul. Thanks so much for stopping by! I have a bigger haul coming up – featuring items at my boyfriend’s place. Be sure to keep an eye out for that video/post! ~b
Welcome to another empty studio apartment tour – high rise edition! I thought it would be neat to share with you guys a more modern upscale apartment in the city. This is actually my boyfriend’s place, it’s a 15 min-ish walk from my home so I hang out here quite often. He was sweet enough to let me film the before footage to put on my YouTube channel. 🙂 The complex is very sophisticated and posh with modern amenities ( you feel like you are living in a fancy hotel ). There’s a sky lounge, fitness center, and pool all located on the 24th floor. It’s situated right in uptown allowing the apartment to have a gorgeous view of the city skyline. There is even a mini park located on top of the parking garage. This is where you will find us attempting to play tennis together (i’m not very good – ha!). His unit is also very sleek in design. There is dark hardwood floors throughout, stainless steel appliances, granite marble counter tops, a private balcony, and many more features. We plan to decorate with modern furnishings but still keep the space very open. My boyfriend is a minimalist by nature so I don’t think we are getting a lot of items …but i’ll keep you guys posted with a haul if we do! That’s all for this post, I hope you guys enjoy the extra pictures and the mini video tour! ~b
Hi Guys! Welcome to my home! I am so excited to show you guys around 🙂 . This blog post is a peek into my 324 sq. ft. uptown studio. As I have mentioned before, I recently moved from Ohio to the South a few months back. It’s been a whirlwind of adventures and I couldn’t have been happier with my decision for a life change. And lucky for me, I was very fortunate to get this affordable rental in the city center. Living in the city can get quite costly and the average apartment around here is over a grand (yikes!).
My studio is incredibly small but I absolutely love my little home – it actually feels more like an upscale dorm room to be honest. My place came equipped with a ton of built-in storage, a mini kitchen, 20 foot ceiling, and even a walk in closet! With these additions to help organize my space, I often forget how small my unit is. It also took me a while to get my place fully decorated to my satisfaction but I am happy with the turn out. Being a natural homebody, I especially wanted to create a cozy oasis space that I could be comfortable in 24/7. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy the tour of my home and get some decor inspiration for yours! Until next time! ~b

Whenever I decorate a space I make it a mission to add art pieces that I created. Not only does this make my home more unique but I also find the process of creating very fulfilling. It makes a style statement while also becoming a great conversation piece for my guest. For my college apartment, I loved the idea of having a classy light fixture. However, I knew the idea was not very feasible due to the small living arrangements and the hefty price tag for a chandelier. This still didn’t deter me from incorporating a little glamour into my quaint studio. In place of a real chandelier – I drew one instead. I digitally painted a chandelier to create a Gatsby-like illustration. Then I went to my local thrift store and purchased two three dollar frames. I was immediately drawn to the frame’s ornate details and its’ potential. Just by adding a quick coat of black spray paint – I gave the frames new life. Overall, the project took me quite a while but I’m very happy with my budget friendly creation. The finished art work became a chic centerpiece above my bed.
I filmed the whole transformation. I documented my steps by taking pictures for each drawing phase. After that, I was able to compile the images altogether to create a fast-lapse video. I hope you guys enjoy seeing the project take shape from start to finish! ~b
This was my studio apartment during my junior and senior year of college. I was 20 years old at the time and living on my own was a huge milestone moment in my life. I remember vividly walking into the space for the first time and just feeling so incredibly happy. 🙂
The apartment was considered a college complex so everyone that lived there was a student. The location was very convenient and situated right on campus. I had easy access to the bus loop and ample of amenities (pool, clubhouse, movie theater, fitness center, etc. ) I was beyond lucky to be living there because it was one of the nicer apartments around the school area. All the furniture pieces were included (bed, couch, desk, etc. ) making it move-in ready! However, I still brought my brother’s old nightstand so I would have space for a lamp beside my bed. I also had a rather nice view because my room was on the third floor, which was the highest level. In terms of decorating, I went with a black, white, and gold color scheme. The black metal furniture pieces set the foundation to my space so I worked around that. I added personal artwork throughout and everything I bought was super affordable. I am very grateful to have lived there during my time at university. It was the perfect place to call home and take naps between classes (ha!). Anyways, I hope you guys get some décor inspiration from my pictures and video!
Above is a picture of the floor plan. I figured it would be helpful and give a better outline of the space. 🙂
