Crisp air and crunchy leaves, fall is in full swing! Time to break out the boots and layer up in sweaters! My favorite thing about fall fashion is the chunky knit sweaters. I am someone who easily gets cold so they are practically a staple in my closet year-round. This styled outfit was very much inspired by the autumnal colors and vibrant fall foliage. There is something unmistakably beautiful about every season and I love how fashion can celebrate it! Cheers to comfy + cozy looks, and staying toasty warm this November! ~b
Happy fall y’all! I know it’s already the end of October but better late than never! I actually took these pictures last year (hence why my hair is so short!) but never got around to editing them…I’m the worst, lol! I was visiting a pumpkin patch when I wore this cute and casual outfit. It’s not the traditional autumn look with earthy tones but I still love it all the same! Personally, I am a big fan of feminine style and pastel colors so I try to incorporate that into my everyday outfits. Hope you like this quick inspo! Have a great rest of your Sunday 🙂 ~b
A few years ago, I moved to the city with no real game plan. Just a wide-eyed grad with a rosy-tinted perspective of the world and all its possibilities. Though a small-town girl at heart, I always had big city dreams. One of my biggest goals in life is to be able to work for myself one day. I always loved creating something from scratch and cultivating it into something so much more. I am more proud of what I have accomplished on my own than anything related to my corporate career – and I realize fostering a vision is what motivates me. I still have a long way to go, but I am grateful for where I am at. The lifestyle I am able to live now feels like a dream. From the cosmopolitan bustle and hustle, to the boundless opportunities – uptown living is a chapter and an experience in my life that I am thankful for. ~b
Happy Labor Day weekend! Can’t believe August is over and fall will be here before you know it. I flew home to spend time with my family for the three-day break. But it’s been forever since I’ve posted so I wanted to do a quick blog post today. This mini photoshoot was from last Sunday and I got my Instagram boyfriend to help me out, lol. Nothing was really planned, we just walked around the historic parts of Uptown and snapped a few pictures at spots with a pretty background. I wanted to fit an end of summer outfit before I start posting some autumn ootds! There’s actually still photos from last year that I never got around to editing (I’m the worst!). So the next few weeks there will be “new” throwback posts. I also have been meaning to do a life update soon because a lot has been happening and changing – but that deserves it’s own post altogether. Anyways, I hope y’all have a great holiday weekend with family and friends! 🙂 ~b
Happy Thursday! Frolicking carefree through a field of beautiful sunflowers is the quintessential summer day. They are the perfect pick-me-up flowers and one of my absolute favorites! Just give me a bouquet of these and you can’t wipe the smile off my face. 🙂 That’s why I love making the drive out of the city to visit this flower patch every year in mid-July. When the field is in full bloom, it bursts into life! The sunflowers’ beaming golden hues stretch endlessly into a yellow mirage of beauty. Radiating warmth and joy wherever they grow. Nothing seems more fitting to style in this dreamy scape than a white eyelet dress with floral detailing. It’s classic, simple, and exudes sweet Southern charm. I think a white sun dress is a summer wardrobe must-have so I’m linking my 20 dollar #TJMaxxFind here! I hope this sunflower photoshoot helps brighten up your day and gives you a ton of inspo! Cheers to it almost being Fri-Yay! 🙂 ~b
Death Valley National Park is the lowest elevation point in North America and home to some of the most unique landscapes that you will ever see. Experiencing this place truly feels like you are taking a voyage to another planet!
The Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes is where the mountains and the sand collide. It was on the top of my list to go! I had a styled shoot in mind that I really wanted to execute and capture here. I bought this red dress specifically because I wanted to create a lot of effortless movements in my pictures (it’s super affordable too). My boyfriend and I started shooting around 9ish and even then we had to walk pretty far to get to the fresh sand dune spots without any footprints. Also, you can’t tell in these pictures but I was silently crying on the inside. It was actually quite freezing here in mid-February (at least in the morning) and also very very windy. But regardless, I’m happy with how the images turned out. My absolute favorite picture of all time was taken down below by my brother. ❤ My boyfriend didn’t want me to post it…but it’s my blog and I’m the editor-in-chief sooooo I do what I want. 🙂 Lol, anyway thanks so much for stopping by and have a great weekend y’all! More content to come! ~b
Hi all! Thrill to be finally sharing my photos from my visit to the Valley of Fire State Park! Who knew a pile of rocks could look this pretty, right? Ha!
Situated just an hour outside of glitzy Las Vegas, the Valley of Fire is an escape haven from the flashy neon signs and boisterous rowdy crowd of the city. A drive out to the state park is well worth the adventure! Although it is just a region of rocky terrain, don’t let the roughness of the rugged landscape fool ya. This place can put on quite a dazzling show. Be here around dusk or dawn, and the sun will illuminate the valley, painting a striking image of the Aztec red rocks. Their brilliant colors ( when bathed in sunlight ) will burst into warm tones and vibrant hues – bringing fiery life to the canyon. ~b
