When I was a kid, I always fantasized about being whisked away to an exotic destination. The beaches at Makena State Park in Hawaii are pretty close to that! With golden shorelines and brilliant aqua blue water, this hot spot in Maui is a dreamer’s paradise!

Menton, France – The Pearl of France

A couple summers ago, I had the adventure of a lifetime while backpacking Europe. I traveled throughout the beautiful country of France and was enamored by it all! Nestled in between the mountains and the Mediterranean is a sleepy seaside town called Menton. It’s one of my absolute favorite spots on the French Riviera and has even been nicknamed, The Pearl of France.” It’s a beloved hidden gem that tourists often miss out on. A cluster of pastel homes cascade the hillside overlooking the quaint beaches. A little library is even situated on the beach which I thought was a super clever idea. I know if I was local there I would totally love sunbathing with a good book in hand! Menton also has sunny weather year-round so it’s an ideal gateway for any season. The relaxed atmosphere also makes time stand still and you feel like you are in a daydream of some sort. I loved my quick mini trip to Menton and can’t wait to come back here one day to explore more of this charming village! 🙂 ~b

Summer Day in Charleston

Happy Tuesday, guys! Yesterday I drove down to Charleston with some family and friends for a mini day trip. So I thought what better idea then to share some photos from my last visit in the summertime!

Charleston, South Carolina is a super popular destination. Beloved by both tourists and locals, it’s well-known for its rich culture and historic charm. Exploring the historic district is a must-have and the best way to fully experience the city. Located in downtown, the South of Broad neighborhood is home to some of the most beautiful residential architecture. My absolute favorite is this posh mansion overlooking White Point Garden! It’s the perfect balance of classic and contemporary. Nearby these fabulous estates is the famous battery. It’s a nice place to take a stroll and catch a light breeze in the hot humidity. Below are some of my top pics from my summer trip, I’ll also be posting my pictures from my winter trip in a later blog post. As always, thanks for stopping by – until next time!  🙂 ~b

Retro Diner Look / Valentine’s Day Outfit

BeInspireful - Retro Diner Outfit 5
Cardigan – F21 / Top- Wet Seal / Jeans – Marshalls / Shoes – Kohl’s

Valentine’s Day is on the horizon so I know a few of you ladies out there have some date night plans. Here’s my take on a casual cute look that’s perfect for any playful rendezvous! ~b

Date Setting:

From comfort classic foods to iconic retro decor, there’s definitely something special about diners. It’s a place that offers a fun experience for everyone making it an ideal spot to share a milkshake or sundae with your significant other. 😉

What I Wore:

It’s safe to say that the general color scheme for Valentine’s Day revolves around pink and red tones. In this outfit I opted for a blush pink pin-striped top with a comfy periwinkle cardigan. A pair of white jeans complemented well with the lighter hues and to complete the whole look, I put a girly bow in my hair. Soft and sweet, I’m in love with this feminine ensemble!

Fall Morning Outfit

Top – H&M / Vest – Francesca’s / Jeans – American Eagle / Boots – Nordstrom

Today’s the last day of November, which means Christmas is on the way! I still have sooooo much fall-related content to edit so I apologize that it might not synchronize with the ever changing-season. However, there’s some amazing photography that I couldn’t pass up posting! So stay tuned!

What I love most about fall is how nature inspires fashion. The fall foliage brings out wine red, golden yellow, and rustic browns into our wardrobe. Emerald green is also one of those exquisite colors. It’s elegant and has a way of refining an outfit. (Also, I personally think it looks great with dark hair!)  I see this color a lot during the holiday season so you can easily transition this look into the upcoming winter. For this crisp fall morning, I layered my emerald green top with a herringbone quilted vest to create a stylish cold-weather outfit. Pairing it with dark-wash jeans and black leather riding boots completes the outdoorsy yet sophisticated look. ~b

Flashback Friday: Throwback Fall Outfit Inspiration

Hi guys! Here’s a collection of throwback outfit ideas from last fall. I hope this fashion collage spark some outfit ideas. I created a lot of wearable combinations – ranging from bright pops of color to warm cozy neutrals, plaid prints to stripe patterns, dressy dates to comfy chill. I think there’s a look for a variety of occasions. Most of the clothing items are pretty basic too which makes it easy to recreate from your own wardrobe. I also have to admit that I was kind of hesitant to make this post because the old fashion video I made is a little cringy. However, these days I am improving with my sense of style and editing skills so better content is coming! 🙂 Anywho, hope y’all enjoyed my flash from the past looks and have a fabulous Friday! ~b

Casual City Outfit

Top – Kohl’s / Shorts – Forever 21 / Purse – Tory Burch / Sandals – DSW

“Uptown girl, she’s been living in her uptown world”….

I’d be lying if I said I never hummed to the tune of Billy Joel when i’m out and about in the city. It’s been my home for the past few months so it naturally became my theme song. The city center park is the perfect go-to spot to people watch. You can find a variety of people here, from casual strollers to spiffy business people. My outfit of the day consist of a traditional pin striped button-up top that is norm for the office. However, I wore a pair of shorts to make the formal top more casual. I also opted for comfy footwear with my strappy gladiator sandals. My classy Tory Burch Mini Robinson satchel refines the look and pulls the outfit together. Sometimes less is more and I love this minimalist sophisticated style. I hope you get inspiration from this outfit and i’ll talk to ya guys next time! ~b

Easy Breezy Park Outfit

Top – LC Kohl’s / Jeans – American Eagle / Sandals – Steve Madden / Crossbody – Modcloth

Hi guys! This is my casual out-for-a-stroll park outfit. It’s an easy effortless look that makes you stylish in a breeze. Here in the South, the temperature is starting to get a bit cooler but definitely not cold enough for a jacket. That’s why I have been opting for long sleeve tops these days. This shirt, in particular, is one of my favorites for a variety of reasons. I absolutely adore the chic peek-a-boo shoulder detailing and the floral/vine-like pattern. I’m also a fan of the material as well.  I have this thing for flowy chiffon fabrics and wear it regularly throughout the year (I just layer a lot more in the winter). To finish off the whole breezy look – I paired it with light washed skinny jeans,  a perforated cross body bag, and some strappy sandals.  Anyways, hope y’all enjoyed this outfit inspiration for the day. I’ll be sure to add some fall fashion soon when the leaves start changing here! ~b

End of Summer Maxi Dress

BeInspireful - End of Summer 1
Dress – American Eagle / Sandals – Steve Madden

Where does the time go? I can’t believe summer is coming to an end! I am dreading it…colder weather and I just don’t get along (although we have tried in the past). I’m just a flip-flop-all-year-long type of gal. But I have to admit , fall fashion and all the festivities is something I am looking forward to. For now though, I’m just going to enjoy the last rays of sunshine in this flowy maxi dress. It is more muted with earthy tones and the rustic/burnt floral pattern gives off a vintage boho vibe. These elements combined make it a transitional piece from summer to fall. I purchased the “dress” from American Eagle but it’s actually a maxi skirt that happens to fit me as an ankle length dress (#shortgirlprobs). I love the elegance of long dresses but have a hard time finding ones that do not swallow my petite frame. That’s why this skirt works as a dress, it comes in more size options and you can always belt it like I did to make it more fitted. Hope this tip helps one of you shorties out there! Talk to you soon! ~b

Nature + Floral Skirt Outfit

BeInspireful - Nature + Floral Outfit5.jpg
Top – Kohl’s / Skirt – Forever 21 / Sandals – Steve Madden

Spending some time outdoors is essential for a perfect day in the summer for me. I love the warmer climate and dressing for it (one of the many reasons why I moved to the South). As you already know, I am a big fan of dresses but skirts are also up there as well. With so many variations in prints and styles – I own a handful of them. This A-line floral skirt is one of my favorite for the summer! It buttons up in the front and has pockets, so it’s cute and functional. I paired it with a plain yellow top so there wouldn’t be a clash in patterns. I think this girly outfit would be great for the first day of school! It’s not super dressy and it will keep you cool throughout the day. Anyhow, I hope this post helps spark some outfit ideas! ~bBeInspireful - Nature + Floral Outfit4
