Happy fall y’all! I know it’s already the end of October but better late than never! I actually took these pictures last year (hence why my hair is so short!) but never got around to editing them…I’m the worst, lol! I was visiting a pumpkin patch when I wore this cute and casual outfit. It’s not the traditional autumn look with earthy tones but I still love it all the same! Personally, I am a big fan of feminine style and pastel colors so I try to incorporate that into my everyday outfits. Hope you like this quick inspo! Have a great rest of your Sunday 🙂 ~b
Happy Labor Day weekend! Can’t believe August is over and fall will be here before you know it. I flew home to spend time with my family for the three-day break. But it’s been forever since I’ve posted so I wanted to do a quick blog post today. This mini photoshoot was from last Sunday and I got my Instagram boyfriend to help me out, lol. Nothing was really planned, we just walked around the historic parts of Uptown and snapped a few pictures at spots with a pretty background. I wanted to fit an end of summer outfit before I start posting some autumn ootds! There’s actually still photos from last year that I never got around to editing (I’m the worst!). So the next few weeks there will be “new” throwback posts. I also have been meaning to do a life update soon because a lot has been happening and changing – but that deserves it’s own post altogether. Anyways, I hope y’all have a great holiday weekend with family and friends! 🙂 ~b
Happy July Y’all! I can’t believe its already mid-summer! So much I still want to do before it’s over. But rainy and muggy weather is in the forecast for the next week and a half which puts a damper on a lot of my summer plans. Luckily, I did get a chance to visit Charleston recently. I wore this bright yellow jumpsuit while I was there and I think its bold color is the epitome of summer! It’s something I usually would never go for but I oddly like it. I found the jumpsuit for 11 dollars at Old Navy’s clearance rack last year. I know they don’t carry this specific floral print anymore but they do have some other summery classic patterns like gingham and chambray in stock. I love that these have pockets as well. I feel like women clothing are notorious for excluding this super functional feature, so it always feels like an added bonus when it is included. I hope you like this outfit inspo for today! I’ll be visiting the sunflower fields this month, and I have a cute white dress that I can’t wait to share on here! Wishing you all sunny weather until then! 😊 ~b
Citrus-chic! If this lemon print midi dress doesn’t screamsummer, then I don’t know what does. This fresh mellow yellow ensemble was perfect for a casual out and about day in Paris. I paired it with my light blue Prada crossbody bag for a fun pop of color!
On my recent trip, I visited the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens and walked the lovely Seine River with my family. The weather was fairly mild in May but the sun shining made all the difference. I always found sightseeing in Paris to be very charming. The buildings are historic yet elegant. Sometimes you can’t help yourself but ooohhh and ahhhh at the exquisite architecture. I also love to people watch. I noticed that most Parisians have an impeccable sense of style that is effortless yet composed. There’s no denying that Paris is simply a timeless chic city, one of the many reasons why I am so enamored by it. ~b
Of all of my European travels thus far, I think I will always have a soft spot for France. Perhaps, it’s because I’ve been blessed to be able to experience so many beautiful places in this lovely country. From idyllic beach days at the French Riviera to wandering the rolling countryside. I adore and feel a connection to France.
This past May was my third time visiting Paris. However, it was my first time being here with my family. In some ways, it was kind of surreal. I never thought I would be able to take my parents on a trip like this, or at least at 25. The older I get, the more I just want to give back to them. They made a lot of sacrifices for me growing up so they rarely allowed themselves the leisure of a vacation.
During our Paris trip, it was the 130th birthday of the Eiffel Tower! In honor of the anniversary, there was a laser light show put on at night. The colors would “dance” and change with the rhythm on the tower. It was a really cool celebration to witness! Unfortunately, I didn’t get any good pictures at the event because of lighting….but I did get my family up at the crack of dawn to take some photos at the Eiffel Tower. ( See my mother and me down below! ) Early mornings at the Jardins du Trocadero are the best times to take pictures of the iconic structure without people in the background.
All in all, I love the city of lights and it means the world to be able to enjoy it with my family. I know Paris is a destination that I will continue to return to in the future and I can’t wait until then. ~b
Road tripping around Southwest America is like taking the scenic route to everywhere. The beautiful surrounding area makes it hard not to find a pretty picturesque road stop. I live on the East Coast, so it’s always a marvel to see these vast rock formations and mountains in the desert. I think sometimes living in the city makes me forget how gorgeous the simple things in life are. Everything is so much slower paced here, plus if you are a nature lover – there are a ton of breathtaking state and national parks to choose from! ~b
Hi all! Thrill to be finally sharing my photos from my visit to the Valley of Fire State Park! Who knew a pile of rocks could look this pretty, right? Ha!
Situated just an hour outside of glitzy Las Vegas, the Valley of Fire is an escape haven from the flashy neon signs and boisterous rowdy crowd of the city. A drive out to the state park is well worth the adventure! Although it is just a region of rocky terrain, don’t let the roughness of the rugged landscape fool ya. This place can put on quite a dazzling show. Be here around dusk or dawn, and the sun will illuminate the valley, painting a striking image of the Aztec red rocks. Their brilliant colors ( when bathed in sunlight ) will burst into warm tones and vibrant hues – bringing fiery life to the canyon. ~b
