During the pandemic, one of the things that brought me so much joy was furniture shopping and sprucing up the house! I love to decorate, but I also love a good deal. You will rarely ever find me buying anything unless it is on sale. What can I say? I have champagne taste on a beer budget!
Luckily for me though, there is a West Elm Outlet that is about 2 hours from my house. This is where I have been getting the majority of my furniture pieces so far. At the outlet, almost everything is an additional 40% off the marked price (talk about a score!) The furniture is deeply discounted here because most of the items have some type of flaw/scratches on them. Due to their imperfections, they cannot be resold in stores. But honestly, a lot of it is minor blemishes that can be overlooked. With a little TLC, it’s back to being brand new!
Also, if you buy multiple items all at once, a lot of times, the store associate will give you a further discount. Their main goal is to sell the inventory to make room for new inventory – so don’t be afraid to ask. I was able to get an additional 10% off most of my purchases. Check out some of my awesome outlet finds down below!
However, I wanted to note that not everything in this blog post is from the same place. I also bought a few nightstands from a clearance furniture warehouse that I found on Facebook Marketplace. In addition to a few other furniture stores! I am currently working on a YouTube video that showcases all of these new pieces incorporated into my home design. I can’t wait to share some of the progress, because there has been a lot of updates made in the last year. So stay tuned! ~b

New Flooring Installation
I had the beige carpet from the master bedroom removed. The previous owners had dogs which left a distinct smell in the room. Dark wood flooring was put in place to update the space! I wanted something to match the overhead fan because I don’t think that will be changed out any time soon. Check out the before & after!
After!
I hired someone from Next Door that was local to the area. For $1,100 he took care of the material, removal of carpet, and the installation of the floor! The process was hassle-free and only took a day to complete! Definitely check out the app for local recommendations to help out a small business!
