Happy November y’all! In this blog post, I’m excited to share with you guys my new bike! I won a Schwinn bike for my boyfriend so he purchased this cute bike for me so we could go cycling together. We have this new thing where we are riding to all the art murals in our city. So far, it’s been a fun and cool way to explore! I also ended up naming my bike Minty…ha – how original, I know 🙂 . It actually took us a while to find a bike because I am so petite. I was set on getting a cruiser-style bike with gears but this was not a common combination. We looked online and in stores everywhere but the bikes we looked at were often times too big or didn’t have gears. We eventually got lucky on a trip to Walmart and found my Huffy Parkside City Bike! Not only is it cute and a great bike but it’s also super affordable. It retails for $119 before tax. I highly recommend this bike for someone around 5 feet tall (although it comes in a bigger size if you are taller). I’ve had the bike for a little over a month now and I love it! I am planning to make the bike a little more old-school by adding vintage elements to it. Think wicker basket, brown leather handles, and pinstriped wheels. It’s on my list of projects to do! 🙂 All in all, I seriously recommend this bike for anyone looking for a stylish bike with functionality – it’s the perfect mix of mountain + road + cruiser all in one! ~b
