Hi guys! Finally, putting up some pics from my Oregon, Washington, & Colorado mini-vacay a while back. I haven’t made a trip to the West Coast in years. Even so, it didn’t take long for me to be in complete awe of the majestic beauty of the natural landscape. Being surrounded by mountains and wilderness, every corner turned into a photo opportunity!
I traveled with my boyfriend and brother, who are both avid photographers. We woke up early every day to catch the sunrise. Jonsrud View Point was my favorite scenic spot at dawn. It is located in Sandy, Oregon – which is a 50 min. drive from Portland where we were staying. The outlook was conveniently situated on the side of the road. It was also right in front of a neighborhood, making it basically someone’s front yard. Soooo can you just imagine waking up to that incredible view every morning?! Ahhh I’m jealous!
Later in the same day, we drove to Washington to visit Johnston Ridge Observatory. It’s a great place to enjoy an expansive view of Mount Saint Helens. You can also come here to learn more about the aftermath of the 1980 volcanic eruption. It is the most deadliest and economically destructive volcanic event in American history. To this date, the area is still slowly recovering. If you have the time, I would check this place out.
All in all, I hope you guys enjoy the travel pics and I can’t wait to share more of my trip with you guys. Talk to ya soon! ~b
